Shiny Pokemon Present Campaign

Starting May 1, 2010 until June 30, 2010, customers who purchased booster packs from the Pokemon LEGEND sets could mail in the barcodes to be entered into a lottery to win one of 2 prize sets. This was known as the Shiny Pokemon Present Campaign (「ポケモンカードゲーム 色ちがいのポケモンプレゼント」キャンペーン).

The promotion campaign, as well as other ones around the summer of 2010, were run to promote the 13th Pokemon Movie, Zoroark: Master of Illusions. The film featured shiny forms of the legendary dogs: Entei, Raikou, and Suicune.

Entry

The following products were eligible to use barcodes from:

  • Booster packs from the LEGEND series: “Heart Gold Collection” “Soul Silver Collection” “Reviving Legend”
  • Reinforcement packs (smaller booster packs): “Lost Link”

These barcodes would be attached to an application postcard, which included a small questionnaire (likely similar to the one in the Legendary Pokemon Present Campaign ). It had to be postmarked by June 30, 2010 to be considered for the lottery.

When entering the lottery, entrants would pick from either Course A or Course B. Each course featured shiny legendary Pokemon cards, and was limited to 1000 winners for each course.

Course A Prizes

The 1000 winners of Course A won cosmos holofoil prints of Ho-Oh and Lugia. These would later be reprinted in the English Call of Legends set as secret rares.

Course B Prizes

The 1000 winners of Course B won cosmos holofoil prints of Entei, Suicune, and Raikou. These would later be reprinted in the English Call of Legends set as secret rares.
